ayfie and iCONECT Sign an Integration Agreement

The iCONECT-XERA® eDiscovery Software Platform Analytics Module will now be powered by the ayfie Inspector text analytics engine

New York, New York, January 9, 2018 – ayfie Inc., the provider of the text analytics platform, ayfie Inspector, used in a variety of industries and disciplines worldwide, is proud to announce that it has reached a licensing agreement with iCONECT to power the eDiscovery review platform, iCONECT-XERA®.

Both companies are dedicating development resources to finalize software code integration between the two platforms. The integration will leverage ayfie’s leading text analytics engine, ayfie inspector within the iCONECT-XERA interface, to create seamless eDiscovery/AI functionality and workflows. The initial release will include Near-Duplicate detection, Conceptual Clustering, Email Threading, Xmplar (used to create a synthetic exemplar document) and Predictive Review (TAR) with both TAR 1.0 and TAR 2.0 workflow capabilities.

Large and mid-sized law firms have increased their use of analytics to drive efficiency and improve fact finding. This new age of transparent analytics, leaves behind the black box of legacy LSI technology, and is bound to increase adoption by making the back-end understandable. The ayfie technology has linguistic analytics at its core. Since much of the law is about language, attorneys get what’s happening. That leads to comfort and comfort breeds adoption. We expect this to change the legal landscape.

—Ian Campbell, CEO of iCONECT

ayfie’s unique approach to text analytics, combining linguistic analytics with machine learning, gives iCONECT the opportunity to offer even more analytics tools to the eDiscovery and data investigation markets. Sentiment analysis and entity extraction are the first two on the integration roadmap, following the Q1 2018 initial release.

We’re looking forward to working with iCONECT to take their eDiscovery solution to the next level. Our integration will create the workflows needed to help their customers find the right data at the right time. As our partnership grows, we plan to enhance iCONECT’s user experience as they leverage more of our text analytics capabilities, such as entity extraction, sentiment analysis and others.

— Rob Wescott, CRO at ayfie, Inc.

The initial release of the product integration is scheduled for Q1, 2018 and will be available in combination with user licensing for the iCONECT-XERA platform. iCONECT will be demonstrating the integration in booth # 1402 at the upcoming LegalTech NY show in late January.

Almost all operations in ayfie are based on linguistically motivated document profiles.

Each document is initially ingested as a sequence of tokens (and is always searchable as such). During the ingestion process, all relevant terminology in that document is identified. Terminology can consist of entity namesdomain vocabulary or special expressions such as acronyms, measurements etc.  This terminology is often not represented by single terms but by multi-word expressions, e.g. “revenue sharing agreement” or “Jim McGhee”.

ayfie groups these terms together based on spelling variants, inflectional forms etc. and enriches them with synonyms. The resulting term groups make up the document profile, i.e. a linguistic signature that describes the document content at an abstract level.

ayfie, Inc. Announces ayfie Inspector for Relativity

ayfie Inspector will empower organizations to extract maximum value from their investment in Relativity

New York, New York, October 10, 2017 – ayfie, Inc. today announced the launch of ayfie Inspector, a text analytics engine that indexes, understands, and organizes massive amounts of content for Relativity, the e-discovery platform.

ayfie Inspector is a highly scalable text analytics engine that combines entity identification, normalization, data visualization and analytics to power Relativity workflows and enables lawyers, investigators and knowledge workers to get extra value and understanding from unstructured content. It is now available in the Relativity App Hub, which includes applications and integrations built by Relativity developer partners.

While other text analytics platforms out there only provide a piece of the puzzle, ayfie’s engine goes to the next level. We built ayfie Inspector to go beyond basic enterprise search by using linguistics, semantics and local grammars to not just interpret content, but to truly understand its meaning. Partnering with Relativity, we’ll be able to provide users of the Relativity ecosystem with a simplified assessment and review process to create meaning from unstructured content.

— Rob Wescott, CRO at ayfie, Inc.

Relativity is a complete platform used by law firms, government agencies, and corporations to tackle their unique e-discovery and data challenges – including those seen in litigation, internal investigations, information governance, and government requests. As a platform, Relativity allows developer partners like ayfie to design, build, and integrate applications that extend its functionality.

Text analytics are vital in digital investigation and we’re excited to make ayfie Inspector available in the App Hub. Our mission is to always help users organize data, discover the truth, and act on it, and tools like this can help them do just that.
